Where should I send it?
First name and email, and Socrates is yours — free during the beta. Your link arrives by email too, so you can always find your way back here.
Already given me your email before? Put it in again — it will not create a duplicate, and it is how I know where to send the next version.
You’re in. Here’s Socrates.

What Hey Socrates is
Hey Socrates is a carefully written set of instructions — a prompt — that you paste into your own Claude account. It turns Claude into a Socratic thinking partner that asks you one question at a time and ends every session with one small step.
That means it runs on your side, not mine. I am not hosting software for you and I am not operating a service on your behalf. What you get is the prompt and the instructions for setting it up.
What Hey Socrates is not
It is not therapy. It is not treatment, not counseling, not a clinical service, and not a substitute for care from a licensed professional.
Dr. Monique Belton is a licensed psychologist, and she built this tool. Using it does not make her your psychologist. It creates no clinical relationship of any kind, no duty of care, and no confidentiality obligation. Nothing you say to Socrates is a clinical record.
If you are in crisis or dealing with something that needs real clinical support, please reach out to a professional or, in the US, call or text 988.
Please keep it for yourself
Socrates is for your own personal use. Please don’t republish it, resell it, or pass the prompt around. If someone you know would love it, send them to the site to get their own copy — that’s what lets me keep improving it for everyone.
The beta, and the year-free promise
Hey Socrates is free during beta. No card, no subscription, no end date set.
Pricing hasn’t been decided. What has been decided is this: everyone on the beta list on the day Hey Socrates launches gets a full year free from that launch date, whatever the price turns out to be.
To be exact about it: eligibility is set by whether you joined before launch, not by how long you’d been on the list. Everyone who qualifies shares the same expiry date — twelve months after launch day.
I may change, pause, or end the beta. If I do, I’ll tell the beta list first, and the year-free promise stands for anyone who already signed up.
No promises about outcomes
Socrates is a thinking tool. It asks questions; you supply the answers and you make the decisions. I can’t promise it will solve your problem, improve your life, or produce any particular result — that depends on you, and on things neither of us controls.
It’s provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for decisions you make or actions you take after using it.
Socrates runs on Claude, which I don’t control. If Anthropic changes how Claude works, or Claude is unavailable, that’s outside my hands.
Age
You need to be 18 or older to sign up.
